6 More Days!!!

6 Days to go!!! The ayes have it - Barleyjuice is a grand group of talented tunesmiths and prodigious performers, and the absolute best time you can have at a concert without removing your kilt. With five studio albums and a double CD collection to date, these five kilted yanks are currently one of the most beloved celtic rock bands in the USA. Kyf Brewer's signature whiskey-soaked vocals perfectly trademark the group's quick-witted and catchy originals, and partner Keith "Swanny" Swanson is no slouch, lithely covering additional lead vocals, guitar, mandolin, whistle, bouzouki, and bagpipes. Both originally piped in the Loch Rannoch Pipe Band, and performed in Edinburgh's Millennium March for Prince Charles.

Barely Juice will be ending our first night 8/31 on the Celtic Rock Stage at 10:30 p.m., they will also perform on Saturday 9/1 at 1 and 6, and Sunday 9/2 at 4:45 and 10:30!

9 More Days!!!

9 more days and the party will officially begin!!! We could still use a few more volunteers so make sure you contact Linda Walsh! You can call her at 216-538-1358 or email her at iacpres99@aol.com! Tonight we are featuring the Makem and Spa
in Brothers. Every generation has a few acts that define where a musical genre is going, performers so confident in their chosen field that they are able to completely embrace the genre and yet introduce something new to it. In Irish folk music today, that act is the Makem and Spain Brothers. Not in the past 30 years has a group taken the international stage with such vocal power and stage presence, capturing the essence of their genre, while standing out as something truly unique. A host of various instruments and five male vocals, using precise three-part harmonies blend perfectly for what many have described as a wall of sound. The Makem and Spain Brothers are at their best onstage where their talent and enthusiasm draw in fans who have never experienced the joy of folk music.

These Gentlemen will be playing on the commercial stage Saturday 9/1 at 3 and 9, Sunday 9/2 at 5:30 and 10, and Monday 9/3 at 4 p.m.

17 More Days!!!

17 More days everyone!!! Just marched in the Lake County Fair Parade and passed out a boat load of coupons! Hope to see all the locals at the festival! But as the countdown continues our featured group of the day is the Willis Clan! The Willis Clan is a family of amazing musicians, dancers, athletes, writers, and artists. Living in middle Tennessee, they merge their Irish roots with other music and dance genres to create a unique blend of the old and new. As they say, "God has blessed us greatly and we enjoy a rich and rewarding life. It is also a lot of hard work. With twelve children, just keeping their names straight can be a challenge. All twelve children's names start with the letter “J”.

Some families go for quantity, some for quality. But we ask, is it too much to ask for both? Not with the Willis Clan.

The Willis Clan will be performing on our Traditional Stage Saturday 9/1 at 3:05 and 9, Sunday 9/2 at 4:30 and 9, and Monday 9/3 at 2:15.

20 Days Left!!!

Well Folks today marks 20 days till the Festival Kicks Off!!! Our featured artist comes all the way from California, yes that's right, The Fenians are coming back to Ohio!!!

A Celtic Heart with a Rock n Roll soul. For nearly two decades now, The Fenians have delivered their potent mix of traditional Irish folk and good old rock n roll all across the USA and Ireland. With an ever expanding set of original creations, as well as contemporary and traditional tunes plucked from the panoply of the genre, these five lads put on a live show that is second to none. Their foundation is decidedly Celtic, but there is no mistaking the complimentary influences of Rock, Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz, and World music.

Through their music and voices, Terry Casey, Rob Williams, Brendan Harkins, Tardu Yegin, and Bryon Holley represent Everyman - sweet and sorrowful; brave and beautiful; angry and amused.

So come check them out on our Celtic Rock Stage Saturday 10/1 at 3:30 and 9 p.m. and Sunday 10/2 at the same times!

music at an early age. Both have performed professionally since their teenage years each has enjoyed considerable success. The New Barleycorn 'present their live Irish show with vitality, passion and a touch of humor, singing and playing both contemporary folk and traditional Celtic songs and music, which they have woven into their own musical tapestry of intricate rhythms and melodies.

They will be performing on the Traditional Stage: Friday 9/31 at 7 p.m., Saturday 10/1 at 1:40 and 7:30, Sunday 10/2 at 10:30, and Monday 10/3 at 3:45. They will also perform on the Gazebo Stage on Sunday 10/2 at 4:40.

, bringing them together in unique ways with a compelling and motivating quality.

We're spreading the word about the 2013 Gathering!

Anyone and everyone with Irish roots will be hearing more about The Gathering in the coming months. The Gathering Ireland 2013 is about the people of Ireland throwing open their arms and inviting everyone with a connection to Ireland to come and visit.

Ohio's Celtic & International Fall Fest will have much more
information for those of you who want to participate at the Fest.

The Gathering is about asking anyone who has Irish blood, a link to Ireland, or even just a love of our country – to join us for a series of amazing and diverse events throughout 2013.

The Gathering is a powerful grass-roots movement. By reconnecting with its global community, it will be like completing an electrical circuit. Energy will flow and our community will light up and sparkle with its own vitality. Events will range from clan gatherings where people will discover their roots, to rugby clubs inviting foreign teams to their sevens tournament, and groups of international business colleagues conferencing in Ireland.

It's an unprecedented celebration of Ireland’s global community . . . its past, present and future.

Watch for more details to come at Ohio's Celtic & International Fall Fest this Labor Day weekend. Or visit www.thegatheringireland.com
